Galerie Mandalian Paillard, Paris – May 2007
Exhibit in Paris is always very enjoyable and a great challenge.
The exhibition was very well assembled at Gallery Mandalian Paillard.
In the days I was there, I walked around the area and I was very proud to have my pieces in the company of so many of the highest level of aesthetic, constructive, historical, etc..
The French enjoyed very much my Brazilian pieces, mostly unique pieces that were eventually acquired by collectors.
Working in Europe is different for those born in a tropical country, expansive, with generous spaces, and much of his life going on outdoors.
In this exhibition I started doing a series of pieces a little more fantasist and sculptural, as the Mandacaru PortManteau, which is not only a utilitarian piece, as most of the furniture I’ve been doing.
