Brazilian Design – Modern and Contemporary Furniture

It is a great pleasure to disclose the continuity of the exhibition “Brazilian Design – Modern & Contemporary Furniture”, with its beginning in Berlin, passing by Portugal, and now in Brazil! Its first exhibition here: Rio de Janeiro.
Curated by Zanini de Zanine and Raul Schmidt, the exhibition begins in the 40′s of the twentieth century and extends to the present day, with furniture of 17 designers, illustrating the evolution of Brazilian design.
The exhibition presents a diverse selection of furniture and other pieces, from designers like Tenrero Joaquim José Zanine Caldas, Sergio Rodrigues, Lina Bo Bardi, Paulo Mendes da Rocha, and Oscar Niemeyer, representing the 40-50’s. In contemporary pieces, marked by diversity, irreverence and sustainability, there are names like the Campana Brothers, Brunno Jahara, Zanini of Zanine, Sergio Matos, Carlos Motta, Egg, Domingos Totora and Maneco Quinderé.
